Phoebe’s Cupcakes Announces Launch of Chicago Wedding Cakes LLC Wedding Catering Division

Chicago, IL - July 16, 2009 -- Phoebe's Cupcakes™ (www.phoebescupcakes.com) announced today that it launched a new division, Chicago Wedding Cakes L.L.C.™, a division focused on catering weddings, with the company’s signature Cupcake Wedding Cake™, and that it recently completed catering its first 3 weddings in the Chicago area. Phoebe's Cupcakes and Chicago Wedding Cakes founders Phoebe Walters and Kate McNamara have a combined more than 8 years of experience with wedding cupcake catering prior to founding the company and division, and have catered weddings ranging from small, intimate weddings of two dozen people, to their largest wedding of 5,000 guests. Chicago Wedding Cakes will cater weddings of any size in the Chicago area, and weddings nationwide with more than 1,000 guests.

Chicago Wedding Cakes differentiates itself from other bakeries in Chicago that provide cupcakes for weddings in a number of ways. In contrast to other bakeries that simply provide cupcakes and a stand to display the cupcakes on, Phoebe and Katie work with the bride and groom to create a unique, highly customized, and beautiful cupcake wedding cake that is arranged with flowers and other decorations to look like a cake, and manage the set-up and arrangement at receptions. Phoebe and Katie's backgrounds in art and their culinary school training enable them to do beautiful, specialized decorations of each cupcake. The company has more than 200 flavors of cupcakes for the bride and groom to choose from. The company also makes traditional wedding cakes, and can arrange for a smaller cake to cut at the top of an arrangement of cupcakes.
